Research by the Mental Health Foundation and Sustain in the UK found an association between poor diet with specific mental health disorders such as ADHD, dementia, depression, and schizophrenia.

The report also noted that British society is now consuming less fresh and nutritious foods. Instead, they eat more fat and sugar than 50 years ago.
