------------------
A great time for anglers on Friday and Saturday at the uMhlathuze Fishing Festival held at the Meerensee Skiboat Club in Richards Bay. With a large fleet of 137 craft taking to the water.
.
Conditions were ideal and gave the participants good reward for their efforts. The yellow fin were particularly obliging, and weigh master Jan Kapp and his team ensured there were plenty of oohs and aahs as tuna after tuna was hooked onto the scales. Not only were there plenty, but according to Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife officials, their condition was also superb.
.
Once again with numerous marlin, sailfish and short billed spearfish also being tagged and released the Bay’s reputation and Zululands as a whole was further advanced as a premier fishing destination .
